  • Peter Kasirivu, Th.B , MA  

    Chancellor

    Pastor Peter is the founder Africa Renewal University, Ggaba Community Church and the President of Africa Renewal Ministries. He is an international Speaker and author.Peter and wife Irene, have four children,James,Lydia,Joy and Isaac.



  • David Fugoyo, BA, MA,Ph.D.

    CHANCELLOR

    David served as the Department Head of Theology at AfRU before serving as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration. His dissertation, published in 2014, was titled " Lapses in Leadership from the Book of Judges. He is married to Joyce and they are blessed with two girls.



  • Dennis Kilama, D.Min

    DVC DEV'T & PARTNERS

    Dennis is a Pastor at Lugogo Baptist Church in Kampala. He recently completed a Doctrine in Ministry from Africa International University. 

    Dennis is married to Yvonne who serves as a USAID Specialist in ANPPCAN.



  • Vincent Byamukama, M.A., B.A.

    ACADEMIC Registrar

    Vincent is married to Grace and together they have 3 children, he served as the Administrative Pastor at Fountain Life Church in Bunga and the Director of Christopher House Ministries before joining AfRU staff in March 2011. He completed a Master of Development Studies with an emphasis in education.



  • Masaba James Paul, M.Ed, B.Ed

    Dean OF STUDENTS

    James as served as AfRU Dean of Students since 2010. He has been in education since graduation serving as a teacher and Head teacher. He is married to one wife,and together they have 4 children.



  • Fiona Acen, MBA, B.A.

    Bursar

    Fiona has served as Bursar at AfRU since 2012. She is currently working on her second Masters in Finance Management from Amity University.



  • Samuel Onyait, B.A, M.A.

    DIRECTOR OQUALITY ASSURANCE

    Samuel served as the Academic Dean and Student Dean of Pentecostal Theological College in Mbale, lectured at Child Restoration Outreach, and served as Youth Pastor for the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church in Mbale before coming to AfRU. Sam and his wife, Susan, have 5 children.

  • Thomas Renson Mwawasi, Th.B,

    Campus Pastor

    Thomas served as a part-time lecturer and Recruitment Officer at AfRU before being commissioned by Gaba Community Church to plant University Chapel on the AfRU campus. He also serves as the Pastor of the Swahili service at Gaba

    Community Church.


  • Richard Mugarura, B.A., MA

    Librarian

    Richard served as Assistant Librarian at Uganda Christian University before joining the AfRU staff in 2010. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Information Technology at Makerere University.

  • Jonathan Mukiibi, B.sCIT, dip.database,dip.hr

    Director of IT Academics

    Jonathan has served as a Professor of Computer Science at AfRU since the campus’ opening in 2007. He became the Director of IT Academics in 2010.

  • Bruce Musinguzi, B.S.

    Director of IT Operations

    Bruce joined the AfRU staff as an IT Assistant and part-time lecturer in 2011 before becoming the Director of IT Operations.

  • Roger Tripp

    Facilities Manager

    Roger served as Director of Resources and Site Manager at Mildmay Uganda before joining the AfRU staff in July 2011 along with his wife, Jean. He also serves as Country Coordinator in Uganda for the mission agency Pioneers International (UK).

  • Paul Homeyer, M.Arch, B.Envd

    Campus Architect

    Paul worked at the international architecture and design firm Gensler before joining the AfRU staff in 2014. Paul provides architectural design for AfRU and the other ministries of ARM. He and his wife Shelley live in Kampala with their children Adam, Grace, and Benjamin.

  • Christine Kisembo, Dip. Acc

    Finance Assistant

    Christine worked with Revolution Uganda before joining AfRU in 2011. Currently she is pursuing a Bachelors in Accounting and her CPA license at Makerere University Business School.

  • William Wasukira

    Recruitment Officer

    William joined AfRU staff in February 2015 to lead the recruiting efforts of our expanding university.
